I absolutely love my dishes! They remind me of living in Europe. That 4 years led us to travel and personal growth. We also gathered some really cool souvenirs!

Drink up

Last year we gave Bob this letter B. It holds wine corks. It took us one year to fill it with the corks from all our consumed bottles. I'm not sure if I should be thrilled with our accomplishment or discussed with our drinking habits!
Our next drinking project will be to fill this tray with corks to make a hot plate. I just realized how odd this is because Bob works for the company that makes metal screw off wine caps!

Room redo

Maria is in Arizona. Before she was even out the door, Leah had moved into her room. Leah's old room was actually bigger but Maria's old room has a bathroom so that was the reason for the change. Jennifer and Leah have a Jack n Jill bath between their rooms and they were definitely getting tired of sharing.  I took this change as an opportunity to get rid of Maria's old bedding. (It's on the front porch right now waiting to be picked up by the Salvation Army.) my mom gave me one of her quilt creations for Maria's new bedroom. I love this quilt. I thought it would be hard to find turquoise pillows to match but I found them on my first outing. I'm not sure how I will dress up the windows but that is my next project.

Go Colts!

On January 4, Bob and I got to go to the Colts playoff game against the Bengals.
We had a great time sitting in great seats thanks to our friends who have season tickets. It was a fun day plus the Colts won! Some fans really get into the game. Check out this lady who was sitting in front of us. She is a true fan!
She used her own hair to make that horseshoe!!

A little German gift

Bob's secretary lives in Germany. She is probably the most patient person I know. She has to work with Bob and takes care of all of his travel planning. She is just wonderful. She sent us this cute little German gift.
It is very typical of items you would find at a German Christmas market. I hope you can see the video. The Santa is adorable but the insense doesn't smell so good to me. Leah loved it! If you click on the link below you should be able to see a video of it.

Maria has moved!

On Dec. 27, Maria and Bob started their long journey to Phoenix, AZ. Her little car was packed tightly with all of her belongings. Their trip went quite smoothly with only one bad encounter with snow in Oklahoma. I met them in Arizona on the evening of the 29th and we began the big decorating process. I won't bore you with all the details but I am very tired of shopping. I have the layout of Target, Lowes and IKEA memorized because we went there so many times! Bob and I flew home on 1/2/15 feeling like Maria was in a great place ready to start a new chapter of her educational life!
Maria's bedroom is beautiful! Her apartment is very small and is considered a studio but it has a nice layout.
The light above the table is really cute in person. Bob retrofitted a can ceiling light and made it into a pendant light.
Tiny bathroom. Maria also has her own washer and dryer in a closet across from the bathroom.
Study/entertainment area.
The spices on the refrigerator were one of our Pinterest projects.

tailgate memories

Having our twins at the same college was just perfect.  Bob and I were able to enjoy Leah and Jenn and their college journey together.  The...
