Our garden is flourishing again this year! Bob started most of our plants inside and then transplanted them at just the right time. We didn’t have to fight off frost or flood so everything is doing very well. Our beans are big but a rabbit is eating every bloom and bean. Bob put up mesh so no one but us can eat the bounty!
The garden is in the same spot as last year but the rows run north to south instead of east to west. We have too many tomatoes and not enough peppers in my opinion. Bob has also tried to plant artichokes this year. The rabbit nibbled practically all the leaves so we will buy something at Home Depot to grow in its place. All the herbs were moved out to pots on the deck.

Because Bob started everything under lights in the basement we already have zucchini!!! The one on the right could have used a few more days in the garden but we ate it last night anyway. Here is my favorite zucchini recipe. I absolutely love it. The only change we make is to bake the zucchini boats in the oven for about 10-15 before we fill them. If you don’t do that the boats themselves are inedible.
