Bob and Julie know how to ROCK!

Somehow we managed to be super busy  on April 18. The twins went to the high school prom, my good friend's daughter got married and we had tickets to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Concert.

The wedding was the first thing to cross off our busy schedule. Although I hated to miss it, I just couldn't be in 3 places at the same time. They had exceptional weather and the pictures showed a lovely and happy bride and groom.

Missing Prom was a bad thing for a mom but I had a stand-in to take my place. Maria just happened to be home on semester break from nursing school. She stepped right in and handled all the drama. She was a star and the girls were beautiful.

So our activity of choice for that day ended up being the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Last year Bob saw the awesome concert and ceremony on HBO. Anyone being inducted into the Hall of Fame is honored and then they perform. In passing he said, "I'd love to go to that someday." Apparently this is a very hard ticket to obtain. So back in November Maria helped me get the tickets the moment the box office opened. It was sold out in 10 minutes but we got 2 tickets and gave them to Bob for Christmas. He was shocked and really was excited about going.

I have to say it was probably the most fun we have had in a very long time. The concert took place at the Cleveland Public Auditorium on the same stage where Elvis and the Beatles performed. The ceremony itself was spectacular. We saw Joan Jett(my favorite) and Green Day(Bob's favorite).  Their performances were unbelievable. Ringo Starr was also honored and he sang with Paul McCartny  and all the other stars from the night including Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Dave Grohl, Miley Cirus, Beck, Green Day and Joan Jet. The entire concert was 5 hours long!

It was a night to remember. On May 30 HBO will air a condensed version of the concert. I'm sure we will enjoy it all over again.
