Here is my biggest packing dilemma to date: Should I keep the box of mismatched socks? I have written a quick poem about the subject...once again I am avoiding my packing duties!
I have a basket in my laundry room
I'm sure you have one too
It's filled with socks without their match
Whatever will I do?
Throw them out or keep them
Is the age old question asked
I think I'll keep them one more year
and forget this worrisome task!

Hello Biasies!
ReplyDeleteAs I read over this lovely poem and your comments on cleaning, packing and rummaging I can relate because we were victims of the recent heavy rains that caused a waterfall effect from our crawl space that filled up and water cascaded through the opening into the finished areas of our basement. I've been cleaning, packing and rummaging too, for a much less interesting reason!
We were so fortunate that possessions weren't found floating, just sitting in water. Carpet and drywall replacement will be undertaken in the next year as our weekend warrior status commands and sweat equity overcomes us! Prayers for all those who had/have it so much worse!
Your "ode" was so appreciated because you know how much I like to rhyme with the kiddos! It inspired me to write one of my own about the clutter in this home!
Here goes...
Clutter, clutter everywhere,
piles of this and piles of that are over there.
Just can't find anything at time of need,
Guess I'll just sit and read!
Happy travels to you all!
