GPS

In this picture, Bob is attaching our GPS to the windshield of the car. If you live in or travel to Europe, it is an indispensable object. We could never get around without it since we can't read most of the street signs and there is no rhyme or reason to most of the city planning.

If you own one of these great inventions, you know that a voice talks to you and says wonderful phrases like, "turn around when possible", "make a u turn", and the best one "you have reached your destination". The voice on our system is "Susan". She has become a trusted friend and member of the family. We even joked that she should get a spot in the family photo in our Christmas cards!

  1. If you enjoy hiking, you might also look into Geocaching.com. It's a website for a sport/hobby called geocaching. People all over the world have hidden treasure boxes and posted the GPS coordinates on the website. Then anyone with a GPS can find the boxes and take a treasure (nothing fancier than a happy meal toy) and leave a prize. Thomas and I found a couple in Brussles and closer to Mons while we were visiting.

P.S. We now have a relocation company to work with, and will be moving over at the end of December.
