On our final day in Beijing we went to the Great Wall of China. First of all, this adventure is a dream come true. I never ever thought I would see the Great Wall! It was completely incredible. We drove to an area a little farther away from Beijing to avoid the millions of people who take a pilgrimage to the Great Wall each year. Our destination still included vendors trying to make a buck selling souvenirs. Somehow we got by without buying anything!
Vendors selling everything from jade to watermelons.
Entrance to assent to the Great Wall at the top of the mountain.
Although Bob took hundreds of pictures, the weather was again very hazy/foggy/polluted (pick one). It is hard from the pictures to actually see what we saw. It was fabulous.

Wow, the Great Wall is on my list to see sometime too. It's a shame the weather was so bad, but still neat that you got to visit the only human-built structure that can be seen from the moon.
