Sicily-Palermo

Palermo was a big city and was actually our first stop on our Sicily Christmas trip. There were lots of high end shops and crazy crazy drivers.Maria is high above the city of Palermo. Behind her you can see the coast and out into the Tyrrhenian Sea.We started our first day in Palermo and Sicily with breakfast in this luxurious dining room...
and then took ourselves to the market and saw hanging goats like this! Check out the expressions on Leah and Jenn. The market had fish of all kinds for sale and vegetables in abundance.

We spent some time in the afternoon at a cafe drinking coffee, eating pizza and arancini and waiting for the most spectacular church to open.

  1. Love the picture of Bob. He rarely sneaks in there. He is usuallly the guy with the camera. Wow, I didn't know we needed to go to Sicily until now. Sign us up. Looks fabulous. The pictures of the girls are lots of fun. You should post the one from your Christmas card. That was sensational.
