Food!!

One thing we have enjoyed these past few weeks is eating. I have ordered most of my groceries online and used the convenient pickup service at Walmart and Kroger. You have to be a little more organized than usual with meal planning, list making and mind reading. Most of our meals have been a success but I made a minestrone soup that was just so so. Everyone eats well at every meal but if the leftovers hang around in the fridge you know the meal wasn’t that great. Below are a few good things so far.

Rice crispy treats are always popular. This double recipe disappeared quickly!

Eric made us crepes. They were absolutely delicious! Leah made a homemade fruit compote to go inside.

Everyone is enjoying a meal of homemade chicken pot pie. The actual pie crust was made separately from the chicken part. There is a piece of crust at the bottom of the bowl and smaller pieces on top.

This meal was a huge success. The the only side with the pot pie was a pear cranberry pecan salad. The meal was great!!
The kids made us a Thai inspired meal complete with chopsticks! They had originally eaten it as part of a Hello Fresh meal and liked it so much they recreated it for all of us. It was really good and the leftovers were great too!
It was nice to sit back and watch them do all the cooking. Bob and I were watching a cooking show on tv and a cooking show in our kitchen!
